PHB5100G Series General Purpose High Bond Tapes - Solid Acrylic Core - High & Medium Surface Energy - (Low Surface Energy with Primer)
Pres-On PHB5100G (Gray) Tapes are general purpose, double-sided, exceptional high bond, multi-purpose acrylic-based adhesive tape, with a solid acrylic core. Designed for bonding of medium surface energy, and high surface energy substrates. Low surface energy in combination with available primer.
Capable of absorbing the differing thermal expansions of two different materials, and maintains a high impact resistance even at temperatures below 0˚ Celsius.
High bond Tape are alternative solutions to fasteners or rivets.
Applications include, Commercial Vehicle Tape for panel attachments to vehicle bodies on trailers, buses and more. Securing decorative panels and trim, glass to painted surfaces, electronic displays, and other multi-purpose applications on PVC, ABS, Glass, Steel, Aluminum, Ceramics, and other plastics.
White and Black available as special order.

NOTE: Pres-On acrylic tapes are not intended for use with heavily plasticized materials or very low surface energy plastics, such as polyethylene and polypropylene.

Product Description
Pres-On PHB5100G (Gray) Tapes are double-sided, multi-purpose acrylic-based adhesive tapes especially designed for the bonding of high and medium energy substrates. This gray tape is capable of absorbing the differing thermal expansions of two different materials, and maintains a high impact resistance even at temperatures below 0˚ Celsius. This has a very high initial tack due to the coating and has a very good plasticizer resistance. The advantage of the excellent conformability is that thin or textured surfaces can be bonded full surface and tension free.
Applications include, Commercial Vehicle Tape (CV Tape), such as for panel attachments to vehicle bodies such as trailers, ambulances, fire trucks, buses. Multi-purpose applications with medium and high surface energy, such as PVC, ABS, Glass, Steel, Aluminum, Ceramics, an other plastics.
It is the customer’s responsibility to test and determine if the tape is suitable for the application.
Ensure bonding surfaces are well unified, clean, dry and free of dirt and oils. Apply firm and even pressure to improve adhesive-to-surface contact. Allow proper temperature and time to enhance bond strength as adhesive flows onto the surface.
