Thickness Thickness Thickness is height of the foam, measured from the adhesive side up. +

Material Material Material of the gasket. Different materials work better for different applications. Examples, EPDM is excellent for UV (sunlight) exposure, Silicone performs great for high temperature applications, Neoprene has great durability and rebound for enclosure door seals....etc +

Adhesive Adhesive Rubber adhesive is a permanent pressure sensitive adhesive that has a very high initial tack for slick surfaces and applications that need a quick bond. Acrylic adhesive is a permanent pressure sensitive adhesive that offer a long lasting bond, best suited for outdoor, higher temperature, and water-tight applications. +

Type of Tape Type of Tape Plain - No adhesive. Single Sided Tape - adhesive on one side. Double Sided Tape - adhesive on both sides. +

Cell Structure Cell Structure Closed Cell: Common for air and water tight gasket seal applications.Open Cell: Allows air water to filter through material. Common for light weight foam applications that need cushioning but not sealing attributes. +

Soft of Firm Soft of Firm Foams materials range from Ultra Soft to Firm. Softer foams require less pressure to compress and may be more conformable. Firmer foams may offer be better durability. This is a general description, please use the additional engineering filters below if looking for specific compression deflection or shore ratings. +

Roll / Spool / Shape / Sheet Roll / Spool / Shape / Sheet Pres-On produces our products as rolls, sheets, long continuous length spools, or pre-cut (die-cut) shapes. Pre-Cut shapes can either be individual separated parts or kiss-cut on a roll. +

Color Color Most foam tape materials are available in black or a shade of gray. Some materials have color options such as white, grays, and red. Some felts and specialty materials can be ordered in special decorative colors. +

Price Range Price Range Filter by material cost. Some materials such as silicone are significantly more expensive due to material specifications. For general foam applications this filter allows you to browse our budget-friendly materials. +

Durability Durability Durability is a rating based on general combinations of material tensile strength, rebound, and daily wear and tear. Performance will vary based on application. +

Comp. Deflection - Force to Compress 25% Comp. Deflection - Force to Compress 25% This compression deflection slider is used to help find a range of for to compress the material 25%. Please see technical data for exact rating. +

Density - lb/ft³ Density - lb/ft³ Density is the measurement of weight, usually measured as pounds per square foot (lb/ft³). This is the weight of the material if it was shaped into a 1 foot square cube. A common misconception in the foam tape industry is that density relates to softness, while this may be true for some materials it will vary based on the product make and material. Due to the nature of foam, many of our products have a weight range. +

Durometer Shore OO Durometer Shore OO Shore Durometer is a device for measuring hardness of materials. Typically foams are measured on the OO scale. The higher the number the firmer the material. Due to the nature of foam this should considered an approximate. Pres-On recommends using "Compression Deflection" over Durometer when determining the softness of foam. +

UL Rating UL Rating UL Rating products have been tested and inspected to meet the specific test standards developed by UL. There are various UL standards such as "UL 50" - Enclosures for Electrical Equipment, "UL 94" - Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts, "UL 508" - Industrial Control Equipment, "UL 507" - Gasket and Seals, and more. Use this filter if you are looking for product that meets a specific UL rating. +

High Temperature Rating High Temperature Rating High Temperature (Service) is the high temp rating for continuous use. Many foams may be able to handle higher temperatures at intermediate, or short durations. If your application requires the foam to meet a high temperature please use this filter to sort our products by temperature rating. +

Low Temperature Rating Low Temperature Rating Some materials are more brittle than others in cold environments. Use this filter if your application requires the material to meet extreme low temperature ratings. +

Surface Texture Surface Texture Smooth finish: flat surface without texture or a skin. Skin surface: a casted skin over the cell structure of the foam. Other textured surfaces such as criss-cross, embossed, ribbed are a unique feature to specific materials. +

Compression Set Compression Set Compression set is the % of material that does not rebound after the material has been under a prolonged compressed load. The lower the percentage the better the rebound. Sometimes referred to as C-Set. +

Tensile Strength Tensile Strength Tensile strength is the maximum stress the material can withstand when stretched before breaking. +

Elongation Elongation Elongation is the measurement of how long the material can be stretched before it breaks. +

Outdoor Rating Outdoor Rating This filters products that are suitable for outdoor environments. Note, a rating of excellent for outdoor does not mean the foam is recommended direct sunlight exposure, please use our UV exposure filter for applications in direct sunlight. +

UV Exposure UV Exposure UV exposure is how well the material performs with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Use this filter if your application requires the foam to be in direct exposure to sunlight. +

Flammability Rating Flammability Rating Various tests for flammability / burn resistance. FMVSS 302 is the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302 for flammability of interior materials. Other UL and ASTM tests are listed. +

Product Oil Resistance Product Oil Resistance These foams are recommended for applications that require a foam with oil resistance. +

Food Contact Food Contact Some foams have been approved by the FDA for food contact. +

Type of Liner Type of Liner Compression Liner: Liner that uses the force of the cap to seal. Pressure Seal: Liner with a pressure sensitive adhesive that adheres to the neck of your bottle. Heat Induction Foil Seal: Non-contact heating process that hermetically seals a foil based liner to your bottle. 2-Piece Heat Induction Foil Seal: Single liner material that separates into two pieces during the heat induction process, a hermetically sealed foil liner to your bottle, and a reseal foam or pulp compression liner to retain in the cap. Vented Heat Induction Foil Seal: Liners designed to allow venting of internal pressure. +

Cap Size Cap Size Most cap sizes are noted with the "neck size-thread finish", example 38-400 fits a 38mm neck bottle with a one turn thread. The liners size is considered a nominal size, the actual size of the liner usually measures smaller than the nominal size, (example 38mm's actually size is 36.8mm). Size standards were created by Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) and Society of Plastics Industry (SPI). Our liners are made to fit the common "E" measurement (outside diameter of the bottle neck), and inside the cap's "T" measurement (outside diameter of the thread). We also have 100's of sizes for any custom or unique cap design. If your size is not listed please select "Custom". +

Bottle Material Bottle Material Knowing your bottle material is very important when selecting a heat induction liner. The sealing element of a liner is designed to specifically seal to different materials. Universal liners seal to most all bottle types, but for the best seal it's recommended to select a material designed for your bottle. Note: PE liners will not seal to PET bottles, and PET liners will not seal to PE or Glass. +

Print Print Heat induction liners are commonly plain (no print). Pressure seals are commonly printed with "Sealed for your protection" (SFYP) in Red, or Black. Custom print is available for large minimum production runs. +
